King’s College Uniform

 

EYFS AND KEY STAGE 1 UNIFORM (Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2)

Polo Shirt       Polo shirts must be the official design with logo, and be of an appropriate length (worn 3 times a week).

P.E Shirt         This must be the official P.E. t-shirt with the King’s logo and be of an appropriate length (worn twice a week).

P.E Shorts     Shorts must be the official design with logo, and be of an appropriate length.

Shoes            Shoes should be smart, sensible and plain black in colour. Sports trainers should be worn only on P.E days.

Socks            Navy Blue or white socks.

Earrings        Only plain silver, gold or pearl studs are permitted.

Necklaces     One plain necklace only, which must not be visible.

Bracelets      One bracelet only may be worn.

Jumper          King’s College official school jumper (available from the school shop) is optional. However, if a jumper / sweater is worn in school, it must be this version.

* All hair ribbons and accessories must be either white or navy blue in colour.

Belts               Belts must be black and plain, with a plain buckle.

Earrings         Earrings are not permitted.

Neckchains    One plain necklace only, which must not be visible.

Bracelets        One bracelet only may be worn.

Blazer             Blazers must be worn when arriving to, entering and leaving school.  Students may choose not to wear these throughout the school day.

Trousers        Should be grey in colour and of an appropriate length (just below the ankle).

Belts               Belts must be black and plain, with a plain buckle.

Shoes             Shoes should be smart, sensible and plain black in colour.

Jumper          King’s College school jumper (to be purchased from the school shop) is optional but if a jumper / sweater is to be worn, it must be this version.

Secondary School – Girls Uniform (Years 7 to 11)

Bracelets        One bracelet only may be worn.

Makeup          No makeup or nail varnish may be worn (should a student wear either, they will be asked to remove this under supervision).

P.E Kit:           Sportswear should be worn on P.E days once a week. Both the t-shirt and shorts must be the King’s school version with the printed logo and be of appropriate length.

 

SIXTH FORM UNIFORM (Years 12 and 13)

The Sixth Form school uniform is the same as that one by Key Stage 4 students, however there is the additional requirement to wear a white shirt (boys)/blouse (girls) and the King’s College school tie.

Pupils should be encouraged to wear their uniform correctly, be smart and take a pride in their appearance and in the fact that they are members of the school community.

Please note:  

All Hair ribbons and accessories should be either white or navy blue.

Hair should be neatly cut, combed and maintained.  Undercut styles are not acceptable, nor are tracks or lines.

Dramatic layered effect or levels are not permitted. Hair should not be overly styled by the use of hair products.

Hair is not to be tinted or coloured.

Boys are required to be clean shaven at all times. Side burns are not to be exaggerated or long.

King’s College Uniform Policy

Pupils are expected to wear the school uniform correctly and appropriately at all times, whether in school or travelling to or from the school.

All items can be purchased at the school shop, which opens at set times during the week (see below).

King’s College has high standards for its pupils and they are expected to be smartly and appropriately dressed in the regulation school uniform at all times, including the journeys to and from school.

School Shop

Opening Times – Summer 2019

The Uniform Shop will close for summer stocktaking on 12th of July 2019.

Please note the provisional opening times before term starts.   The shop will be on the lower ground floor, so we ask parents to please park in the Training Area and enter the building via the Training/Administration entrance.

Between Monday 19th August and Thursday 22nd August the shop will open during the following times only:

  •  Monday 19th August            9:00am – 11:00am and 1:00pm – 3:00pm
  •  Tuesday 20th August            9:00am – 11:00am and 1:00pm – 3:00pm
  •  Wednesday 21st August       9:00am – 11:00am and 1:00pm – 3:00pm
  •  Thursday 22nd August         9:00am – 11:00am and 1:00pm – 3:00pm

On Wednesday 28th August the shop will open from 9:00am – 11:00am & 1:00pm – 3:00pm.  During this time Parents will be attended to in strict order of arrival

From the first day of term onwards, Thursday 29th August, normal Uniform Shop times during term dates, will be as follows:

  • Tuesdays                    8:00am – 9:30 am
  • Wednesdays               2:30pm – 3:30 pm
  • Thursdays                   8:00am – 9:30 am

Details of uniform prices, along with the order form, can be found here. Uniform must be paid for upon collection, or by prior deposit / bank transfer. Please note that we only accept cash, credit card (Visa, Clave or Mastercard), cheques or bank transfer for payments at the school.

If paying by bank transfer, please bring a copy of the bank transfer with you to collect uniform in order to speed up the process.
